Since Friday, we have been having series of youth-reminding events. Joy's party, Tokyo Rock, and old roommates...
I would not go into a detail, but sometimes, you can be melancholic in fun environments. Actually, Joy's party was great. Tokyo Rock was ok. But, then, we met a couple/old-roommates whom we would probably have never wanted to see again... was bad...Y(>ω<、)Y... So, that's it. The last one led us to a memory train. Hence, reminded us 10 years ago..., the young us...Bill and me...
Well, anyway, Joy is a fun person! She just has a full of energy, and we love her! She threw a Seven Sea theme party and it turned out to be a great one. Bill and I did not show up dressing up like a sea creatures. Next time (*´∇`)ノ
Then at the theater, we met the couple, our former roommates in the city, who made us realize it's time we went to live outside the city... I looked better than the girl....So, its all ok! I would not waste my time writing about them. It is a past!
OK, we got these 3 cheese to bring to our friends house the other day.
Hard: Vlaskaas
This is Bill's favorite Cheese these days. Smooth and butterly like Gouda, but it's got a flavor like a sharp Cheddar.
Semi Hard: Moliterno Raw Sheep Milk with Black Truffle
We got this one because of Truffle. This cheese was tasty.
Soft: Fromager D Affinoi
Uhmm... do I remember the taste? I dont remember... I think it was mild and smooth and not too salty.
I had a fun wine tasting tour (a group of 10 people) this Saturday. 4 places on one day, crazy!, but was fun.
Our friends and wine makers, Stef and Paul invited us to their wine tasting tour. The below are where we visited. They are friends with Ted, Terese and Dan. So we had a private tasting there. Also although we met Matt for the first time, because Stef and Paul make wine, we got to hear about a very specific wine talk from him. It was a fantastic tour!
• Clos La Chance
Love the place, very spacious. It locates in the middle of golf course.
I should actually go back to this place, because I did not feel well when we arrived there and dont remember much about wine. I tasted 3 grapes.
• Sycamore Creek/Uvas Creek
Great tasting. The winemaker Ted Mederios gave us a special barrel tasting. It was really cool that we were able to taste wine from the barrel. It tasted great!
• Martin Ranch
Wonderful hospitality. Terese and Dan Martin gave us a private tasting.
They prepared not only wine for us to taste, but also superb appetizers to go along! Both Terese and Dan gave us an overview of the vineyard and grape growing. Also welcomed us to ask any questions. Such a wonderful people
• Fernwood Cellars
Matt Oetinger, owner and winemaker gave us a private tasting.
Because we stayed at Martin Ranch longer than we expected, we were an hour late to arrive at Fernwood Cellars. Matt was really nice and gave us all insightful story about wine!
Stef and Paul invited us a wonderful dinner after the tour. Their dinner is always great. This time, I dont know how many bottles we actually opened, but with good wine and good food, we had another good time with them!
